The 2024 National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Tema Central, Ebi Bright, has been nominated as the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive in the Greater Accra Region.
Her nomination comes amid protests from some residents in the area.
Additionally, Ludwig Totimeh has been appointed as the Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West.
The nominations are in accordance with Article 243 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) as amended by Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 2017.
The nominations are subject to approval by the respective Assemblies.
