Jefferson Sackey Files nomination To Contest Ablekuma Central Seat

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Ablekuma Central, Jefferson Sackey on Monday September 9, 2024 officially filed his nomination marking a significant step in his journey toward the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The filing took place at the Ablekuma Central Electoral Commission (EC) office, Pipiena, with a large gathering of supporters and dignitaries present to show their unwavering support.

In his address to the gathering, Mr. Sackey expressed his profound gratitude to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for entrusting him with the opportunity to contest the Ablekuma Central seat.

He emphasized his vision of working closely with the constituents to bring tangible development in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and job creation, especially for the youth and women.

Mr. Sackey, whose birthday coincided with the filing day, remarked, “Today, doubling as my birthday marks a special day, not only for me personally but for the future of Ablekuma Central.”

He added, “Our journey towards improving the lives of every resident has just begun, and I am ready to serve with the energy and commitment that our people deserve.”

Mr. Sackey further used the opportunity to charge the gathering to intensify their campaign efforts, urging them to reach out to areas he might not be able to cover before the elections.

“This journey is not mine alone. It’s a journey, we must embark on collectively. Please let’s work together to ensure that we secure a decisive victory for both myself and Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections,” he said, as the crowd cheered in affirmation.

Present at the event were his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson Sackey, Director of Operations at the Office of the President, Dr. Lord Oblitey Commey, MCE for Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, Hon. Mariama Karley Amui, Chairman of NPP Volunteers of Abossey Okai, Former NPP Parliamentary Candidate and Hon. Robert Sarbah, Former PM for Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly.

The others are Hon. Yakubu Asoke Abane, Constituency Chairman, Hon. Robert Kwame Dadzie, Former Parliamentary Candidate Aspirants, Assembly Members, Constituency Executives, Former Constituency Executives, Veterans, Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, Volunteer Groups and the general public.
