Nana Adusei Atwenewah Ampem I, the Paramount Chief of the Tepa Traditional Area in the Ahafo Ano-North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has set-up a GHS 5 million development fund, for the holistic development of the area.

Christened the “Tepaman Development Fund (TDF),” the chief said it would be used for the construction of an ultramodern social centre, and other physical infrastructure development and social facilities.

Nana Ampem unveiled the fund at the launch of the 25th Anniversary of his coronation slated between November 11 to 16, 2024 at Tepa, which coincided with his 62nd birthday celebration.

The Paramount Chief said the holistic development of the area remained a shared responsibility, and therefore called on the people, especially Tepa natives, resident home and abroad as well as corporate bodies to contribute to the fund.

Nana Ampem I touted some of his achievements as he accounted for his stewardship, saying it was through his instrumentality that the Immigration Training School and the Nursing Training School and the Ghana Armed Forces Operations Centre were established in the town.

He said he was also spearheading the establishment of the STEM University, and facilitated the construction of an ultramodern Sports facility, establishment of Tepaman Rural Bank, construction of a 600-bed capacity Hostel facility and a three-storey classroom block for the Nursing Training School.

Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, the Election 2024 Presidential Candidate for the Movement for Change, said partisan politics remained the bane of the nation’s accelerated development.
“Our biggest challenge now is division on partisan lines”, he stated, saying the country had gone through the hands of the NPP and the NDC, and therefore called on the electorate to vote for him when they go to polls on December 7.
He said under his government the country would go through rapid economic transformation for Ghanaians to see the difference and re-echoed his readiness to facilitate an all-inclusive administration.

Mr Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, the Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization commended the developmental efforts and achievements of the paramount chief.

“Tepa is now the security hub in and the fastest growing town in Ashanti Region since the enstoolment and coronation of Nana Ampem”, Nana Prempeh, also the Election 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Ahafo Ano North Constituency stated.

Other activities lined-up for the anniversary include football matches, tribal food bazaar, cultural festivals and general clean-up exercise among others.
