EC, GJA open accreditation for media coverage of 2024 general elections

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the Electoral Commission (EC) have opened the application period for media houses to apply for accreditation to cover this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

Media houses in Greater Accra and the Foreign Media who are interested in covering the December 7 polls are hereby requested to submit the names and passport pictures of their journalists and other media practitioners to the Ghana Journalists Association at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra.

Those in other regions are to submit their documents to the Regional Executive of the GJA in their respective regions for onward transmission to the GJA Headquarters in Accra for processing.

Interested media houses are to use the following template:

No. NAME MEDIA HOUSE REGION CONTACT PASSPORT PICTURE

Details of the reporters and crew should be submitted in soft copy and hard copy and must be in Times New Roman format and a font size of 12.

 The passport picture must be standard size. No ‘selfies’ will be accepted.

The deadline for the submission of the documents is 5 pm, Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Media houses in the regions should reach out to the underlisted GJA Regional Chairpersons to submit their documentation for the accreditation:
