The Ghana Trade and Finance International Conference has congratulated Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Economic Integration on her appointment as the Secretary General of Commonwealth.
“In our letter referenced GITFiC/LT/2024-0130, we shared our goodwill and confidence in your election as the Secretary General and we still stand by it as our support for you to succeed.
A statement signed by Selasi Koffi Ackom, Chief Executive Officer of GITFiC and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra reiterated their unflinching support in rallying member states in a bid to help her.
“In our small ways, we did just that. We at The GITFiC were not surprised you won the admiration and votes of member states with His Excellency the President as your Chief campaigner.
“We remain committed and hope to present our next GITFiC birthday cake to you in your capacity as the Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations in good health and shared prosperity.
“Madam Secretary General, please, accept the assurances of our highest consideration in unionism and Pan-Africanism”.
