According to her, all what the President promised in 2016 during his campaign for the presidency had been fulfilled, therefore Ghanaians should look at that to reward the NPP by retaining it in power by voting for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as President In the upcoming elections.

The First Lady made the call when she interacted with the constituents in Okaikwei South as part of her thank you tour in some constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.

She met with person’s living with disabilities, leaders of youth, teachers, book vendors, photographers, fruit sellers, draft and cards associations, as well as barbers and mechanic associations in the Okaikwei South Constituency alongside some traders and leaders of the Kaneshie market women.

She said since the NPP came into power, the country had enjoyed peace although there were a lot of instability in neighbouring countries and elsewhere.

She said the peace in Ghana had made it possible for the country to be steered in the right directions and therefore the electorates should not give up that peace.

Mrs Akufo-Addo said it was time for the country to move forward and therefore Ghanaians should vote for Dr Bawumia to continue with the good works.

She enumerated some of the good policies rolled out by the NPP over the past eight years, including the free Senior High School programme, which she said had allowed millions of otherwise junior high school schools, who would have dropped out of school due to financial constraints, to go to school.

She said Ghanaians should treasure Dr Bawumia as an asset to the country as many countries would not hesitate to have him as their own.

“Let no one deceive you that we should change him” as this will be a disaster for the country, the First Lady stated.

She called on all eligible voters to vote number one come December 7 and also vote for all NPP parliamentary candidates so that they could bring development to the country.

She commended the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei South, Ms Dakoa Newman who is also the Minister for Gender Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), saying, she had achieved a lot for the constituency since she became the MP.

She called on the electorates in the constituency to vote for Ms Newman again come December 7, so that she could continue with her vision for the people.

Ms Newman on her part, thanked the constituents for the confidence reposed in the NPP over the years and asked for their support again in the upcoming elections.

She said she would continue with the asphalting of roads in the constituency as well as build more AstroTurf in the various communities for recreation.

She said the government over the years had built schools, expanded the Kaneshie Polyclinic among others and expressed the hope to do more when voted into power.
