The launch, held in Tamale, with support from Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, brought together young people from diverse backgrounds, who were equipped with knowledge and skills on peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and electoral processes.

Alhaji Ibrahim Amidu-Tanko, Executive Director, STAR Ghana Foundation, speaking during the launch, emphasised the importance of peaceful elections in ensuring inclusive development and urged the youth to play their roles to ensure that the elections were peaceful, credible, and inclusive.

He urged young people to continue to mobilise beyond the elections to hold their leaders accountable and ensure that policies reflected their needs.

Reverend Father Thaddeus Kuusah, Executive Secretary, Northern Regional Peace Council, emphasised the need for all to verify information before sharing it, noting that one small piece of misinformation could lead to serious conflict.

He urged the youth to act as peace ambassadors, promoting peace and unity through social media, community events, and dialogue.

Ms Rahana Abdul Majid, a participant, lauded the event, saying it had equipped her on how to promote peace in her community particularly during the elections.
