New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament and parliamentary candidate for Nsawam-Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has asked President Nana Akufo-Addo to suspend the ongoing transition process.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo should focus on resolving issues affecting parliamentary results in some constituencies, including his own.

The Majority Chief Whip’s appeal follows incidents of violence that disrupted the collation of results in the December 7 elections within the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency.

Speaking to supporters at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) office in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Mr Annoh-Dompreh noted the importance of ensuring that the results for four key constituencies—Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Suhum, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North—are officially declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) bef

He noted that these constituencies were won by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and expressed concern over attempts to challenge the outcomes.

“The President has initiated the transition process, but we plead with you to suspend it until the Electoral Commission officially declares the results for the four constituencies. The transition must be halted immediately until all disputed seats are resolved. Until then, no transition,” he urged.

He argued that if the President does not suspend the process, it could give the impression that the party’s interests are being neglected.

Mr Annoh-Dompreh also lauded the EC for its performance during the elections but insisted that further clarity was essential to safeguard the NPP’s parliamentary victories.

President Akufo-Addo met with President-elect John Mahama today at the Jubilee House to commence the transition process.
