The Transition Team overseeing the transfer of power to a new government held its third meeting on Friday December 27 at the Accra International Conference Centre, with reports presented by all Sub-Committees except the Social Sector.
In a press release, the Spokespersons for the Transition Team, Fatimatu Abubakar and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, described the reports as generally satisfactory. However, additional information was requested on specific issues, as directed by the Co-Chairs of the team.
The Co-Chairs encouraged all stakeholders to continue their engagements and address outstanding matters at subsequent meetings to ensure a seamless transition process.
The Transition Team expressed its appreciation to the Sub-Committees and representatives of the various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for their contributions.
Reaffirming its commitment, the team emphasized its dedication to fostering a smooth transition to support national development and governance continuity.
The next meeting is expected to further solidify preparations as Ghana moves closer to a peaceful and efficient power transfer.
