President Akufo-Addo has commissioned the world class Accra Stem Academy in Accra.
The Academy is testament to the belief that education, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), holds the key to unlocking the full potential of the nation.
Speaking at the event, President Akufo-Addo stated that the world around us is changing rapidly stressing that Technology is at the heart of this transformation, driving progress in education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, industry, and every aspect of our lives.
“For Ghana to thrive in this modern era, we must equip our young people with the tools they need to succeed. STEM education is not a choice – it is a necessity. This institution is a space where young minds will be inspired to dream big, think critically and solve the problems of tomorrow, a Ghana where our students continue to lead systematically breakthroughs in robotics, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.” he stated.
President Akufo-Addo noted that we have also embarked on the development of twenty STEM centres and ten model STEM Senior High Schools across the country.
These institutions he said are designed to provide hands-on learning experiences with cutting-edge facilities, from coding to robotics, our students are being prepared for the demands of the 21st century.
