President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has announced a six-member Interim National Security Coordinating Team to oversee national security operations during the transitional period of his incoming administration.
The team, which begins its work on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, will be chaired by Prosper Douglas Bani, a former Minister for the Interior. Its mandate is to ensure a seamless transition of power and maintain national security during the early days of the new government.
The members of the interim team are distinguished figures with extensive experience in security and governance:
