The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has so far won three constituencies following a court order for final collation of polling station results.
The three constituencies are ; Okaikwei Central, Tema Central and Techiman South. However, the final collation for Ablekuma North has been stalled following controversies over pink sheets.
Patrick Yaw Boamah secured 21,099 votes to win the seat, while his opponent, Abdulai Abu Baba Saddiq, garnered 19,368 votes.
This announcement follows a High Court ruling on Saturday, January 4, which granted an application by the NPP seeking to compel the EC to complete the collation of parliamentary results for the constituency.
Justice Forson Agyapong, who presided over the case, ruled in favour of the NPP, issuing an order of mandamus that compelled the EC to complete the collation process.
In his judgment, Justice Agyapong stated that the EC had failed to collate results from 31 outstanding polling stations in the constituency, which was a breach of its obligations.
The court subsequently ordered the EC to collate the results from the remaining polling stations and incorporate them into the already collated figures.
At the end of the collation of the two outstanding polling stations, as directed by the court, NPP’s Charles Forson polled 18,870 votes, as against Ebi Bright of the NDC’s 18,815 to win the Tema Central seat
Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah has also been declared Member of Parliament-elect for the Techiman South constituency.
Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah secured 46,663 votes, defeating his closest rival, Christopher Beyere Baasongti of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who polled 43,429 votes.
