In a letter addressed to the management of the Onua media brand, Mr. Jacobs’ legal team expressed his firm stance on the matter, asserting that the statements made on December 11, 2024, were false, damaging, and intended to tarnish his hard-earned reputation.

The allegations aired during the broadcast include allegations that Mr. Jacobs among other claims misappropriated $5 million intended for New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicators, allegedly using the funds to facilitate the illicit trade of marijuana and cocaine at his hotel.

Mr. Smart also claimed that the plaintiff operates a hotel in Cape Coast where illegal substances, including marijuana and cocaine, are purportedly sold, with claims that he is aware of these activities but prioritizes financial gain over the well-being of young individuals.
