Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Communications Director for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has reaffirmed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) willingness to welcome back individuals who believe in the party’s values and vision.
His comments follow a call by former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, who urged the party to reintegrate defected and suspended figures, including Paul Afoko and Alan Kyerematen, to strengthen unity ahead of the 2028 elections.
In an exclusive interview on Channel One Newsroom on Saturday, April 26, Mr. Aboagye highlighted that the NPP has consistently maintained an open-door policy for all who align with its core principles.
According to him, the party is prepared to work with anyone who shares its ideals, regardless of their current standing or previous roles within the party.
He further clarified that not all individuals mentioned by Kennedy Agyapong are currently under suspension, addressing misconceptions about their status.
“It is a call that everybody in the party agrees to. I think the party has already indicated its open-door readiness to receive everybody and get everybody on board, but of course, not all the names he mentioned are on suspension.
“Mr Paul Afoko has not been suspended from the party. He is still a member of the NPP, so he hasn’t left the party. He issue only had to do with the position he was holding, but he wasn’t suspended. Alan Kyerematen has not been suspended from the party, he has left the party to form another political party.
“The position of the party across the country is that everybody who is willing and ready and believes in the ideologies of the NPP, the party is ready to accept them,” he clarified.
