[Watch] Swearing-in of new MPs: Drama unfolding in Parliament

Drama is unfolding in Parliament where the swearing-in of the 8th Parliament is scheduled for midnight.

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have taken over the seats on the right side of the Speaker’s seat in the Chamber normally occupied by the party with majority members.

Dressed in white, the NDC, which has consistently claimed it has the majority in Parliament from the 2020 parliamentary election demonstrated its new strength in numbers by taking over the seats.

Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who eventually walked into the chamber have been compelled to take the seats as the minority party. More soon.
