The Deputy Interior Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa Central, Mrs Naana Eyiah Quansah, has presented a number of medical items to the Gomoa Central District Health Directorate to support quality health delivery in the area.
According to the MP, the donation would be distributed to health facilities in the Gomoa Central District and serve as motivation to the nurses, doctors and paramedical staff to work hard to save lives.
The items include printers, desktop computers, BP apparatus, weighing scales, laptops, canon photocopiers, drip stands, office tables, an adult weighing scales, wooden cabinets, conference chairs and a generator plant, among others.
At a ceremony to present the items, Mrs Quansah said Government was committed to ensuring that health care was prioritised to enable health workers to provide better services to the people.
The Deputy Minister said it was important for the people to continue rallying behind the government to succeed in its pursuit of Agenda 111 to enhance quality health care and enhance the transformation agenda of the health sector and expressed her gratitude to the chiefs and queen mothers for their support.
The Deputy Minister called on the supporters of the NPP in the Gomoa East and West constituencies to work extra hard to recapture the Parliamentary seats in the 2024 elections,
Dr George Bempah, Gomoa Central Director of Health, who received the items, thanked the MP for the kind gesture and assured her that it would be fairly distributed to health facilities in the district to boost their morale.
