The government has fully paid all caterers enrolled for the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
The Ministry of Gender And Social Protection in a statement issued in Accra yesterday said the caterers are entreated to cook good and nutritious meals in the right proportion to the children.
It added: “we humbly expect caterers to corporate with the Ministry through the Ghana School Feeding Secretariat so we can together serve the children.”
The statement however caution that “no one should cook without the authorization from the Ministry and the Ghana School Feeding Programme Secretariat.”
The government has come under criticism for owing the careers under the porogramme with the opposition using the development as a major political tool.
The settlement of the careers however ends months of attacks on the government who the opposition NDC had described as insensitive to the plight of the careers.
