The Ministry of Youth and Sports has denied names circulating in social media about some purported list of people approved to attend Ghana’s winter Olympic Games.
The Ministry insists the list is false and that only three people have been nominated for the Beijing trip.
“The publication is false and malicious and should be disregarded by the general public,” a statement issued on Friday said.
It Continued:”For the avoidance of doubt, the Ministry has only approved three (3) persons for Ghana’s team which includes the athlete, the coach and an official from the Ministry to represent the country at the event”.
The games commenced on Thursday, February 4 and ends on February 20.
Ghana will be represented by Alpine skier, Carlos Maeder.
