The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Young Patriots in the Ejisu Constituency have raised red flags about the posturing of Mr Kwame Kwame Agyemang-Budu and his subtle plot to create confusion in the constituency.

Mr Agyemang-Budu, The Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), they said, is bad news for the constituency because of his plans to contest the Parliamentary seat, fair or foul.

According to the Young Patriots, the ECG Boss is a man on a mission to destabilize the NPP in Ejisu to satisfy his parochial interest.

A statement issued by the group and signed by Andrew Boateng, a leading Member of the Ejisu Young Patriots accused Mr Budu and his brother, the MCE for Ejisu, Samuel Oduro Frimpong of whipping up sentiments against the incumbent MP and leadership of the party in the constituency.

They said, “His actions have in the past few weeks threatened the peace and stability of the party in the constituency.”
“And he intends to do more and worse as part of his agenda to become the Member of Parliament for the constituency.”

“We will like to remind Mr Budu that in Ejisu we have processes for dealing with issues and his resolve to use his supporters to attack and insult anyone that shares a contrary view to theirs will not work.”

“To most of us, Mr Budu is a stranger to the constituency and if he wants to contest any elections here, then he must learn to do the right thing and should not spark misunderstanding within the rank and file of the party,” the statement added.

The Young Patriots warned Mr Budu not to infect the appreciation of the people of Ejisu with his misbehaviour and his evil ways that caused workers of ECG to call for his dismal as their CEO last year.

“The workers cited several claims of procurement breaches, underhand dealings, lack of commitment to his duties, disregard for the wellbeing of workers, display of authoritarian leadership among several others.”

“Such a leader who according to workers of ECG has failed to manage the company cannot be allowed anywhere near Ejisu, which is experiencing transformative growth and development,” they added.

The group admonished Mr Budu to immediately instruct his supporters to stop attacking the MP and the leadership of the party in the constituency and to also call his MCE brother to order.

The Ejisu Young Patriots warned that sabotaging the good works of the MP, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah will not hand the Parliamentary seat to Mr Agyemang-Budu or his brother the MCE.
