‘Your Money Is Coming’; Gov’t Tells GSFP Caterers

The government says plans are underway to pay the third term arrears owed caterers of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).

The government noted that it regrets the delay in the payment and “therefore entreats caterers to exercise a little more restraint whiles we moblise funds to settle the arrears.”

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Ghana School Feeding Programme in a joint statement said it appreciates the concerns and challenges “confronting our caterers and other stakeholders due to the delay in the release of feeding grants for the third term of 2021 academic year.”

 PRESS RELEASE

                           PAYMENT OF THIRD TERM ARREARS TO GSFP CATERERS

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Ghana School Feeding Programme acknowledge the concerns and challenges confronting our caterers and other stakeholders due to the delay in the release of feeding grants for the third term of 2021 academic year.

We are mindful of the government’s directive for basic schools to re-open on Monday, May 10, 2022; and all GSFP caterers are accordingly expected to commence feeding of beneficiary pupils on the same day.

We appeal to all caterers not to be agitated as all the necessary steps are being taken by the Government to settle the arrears for the 3rd term of 2021 as soon as possible.

We regret the delay in the payment of all arrears owe caterers and therefore entreat caterers to exercise a little more restraint whiles we moblise funds to settle the arrears.

We wish to thank caterers for their usual patience and cooperation.
