The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has issued a public alert to residents living in coastal cities to head for higher grounds and identified safe havens tonight.
The alert followed a weather warning by the Ghana Meteorological Agency that more rains are expected into the night along the coastal cities of Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast and Takoradi.
Citizens living in these areas are therefore warned to take precautionary measures to stay safe, especially those living in flood-prone areas.
NADMO entreats the general public to pay heed to the weather warning and act accordingly to keep safe.
In case of distress, the public can reach NADMO on its emergency lines: 112, 0302964884 and 0299350699.
