Ghanaian swimmer, Abeiku Jackson finished 6th in his 50m butterfly heats with a time of 24.19s in the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The time is not enough to qualify him to the semi finals of the men’s 50m butterfly event in swimming.

He finished 17th overall out of the 54 participants in all the heats.

He finished well behind Benjamin Proud (ENG), Matthew Temple (AUS), Joshua Edwards (CAN), Adam Barrett (ENG) and Finlay Knox.

Team Ghana has 100 athletes and will be hoping to bring home some medals in the various sporting disciplines as the competition grows.
