Former Member of Parliament for the Mfantsiman West constituency of the Central Region, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, is reportedly preparing to launch a bid for the Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Social media has been awash with campaign posters of the former MP vying for the Chairmanship slot of the party.
The posters described the man, who has come to be known as Asa B, as an action and a grassroots man who will transform the fortunes of the political party.
Posters of other NPP stalwarts have appeared on social media who have since come out to confirm their interest and intention to contest for the position including Pro. Ameyaw Akumfi, former Minister of Education under the Kufuor administration.
Asa B was also a former Minister for Local Government Rural Development and Environment, Tourism and Diaspora Relations.
He was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the executive chairman of the State Enterprise Committee in 2017.
He was later appointed as the director-general of the state interest And Governance (SIGA) Committee by the same president.
