FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NDC PARLIAMENTARY RESHUFFLE: CUT THE NOISE OR WE RELEASE CAN OF WORMS

Members of the Cadres For Accountable Leadership (CAL) have taken notice of the recent changes on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) front bench in Parliament and the associated raft of responses from several quarters.

We understand fully the concerns of some party members that exhaustive consultations were not done prior to the public announcement of the changes. We therefore join them in deploring this misstep from the NDC Headquarters and appeal for things to be streamlined to forestall future occurrence.

It is however nauseating to see a few disgruntled parliamentary members of the NDC “mutinous regiment” trying to dislodge the Party Headquarters decision which has been explained to be a step towards capturing power in 2024.

The case has always been that the National Headquarters of the party always determined or showed pointers as to how NDC’s front bench in Parliament should be constituted. In 2016, same happened leading to the appointment of Hon. Muntaka Mohammed as deputy minority leader. Nobody raised issue. How come the party headquarters is taking same action today and people affected are all of a sudden jumping all over the place!

We want to remind Hon. Muntaka and Cletus Avoka that they cannot benefit from same thing yesterday and turn out to repudiate it today simply because it does not go their favour. The legal equitable doctrine of election where you cannot approbate and reprobate must occupy their medulla oblongata.

We have assembled dossiers of underhand dealings by some of the agitators MPs and surveillance materials of despicable conducts of some NDC members of Parliament which have let the party down at certain critical times. It should be communicated in plain language that should those ugly cacophonous noises continue to emanate from those few renegade MPs, the Pandora’s box as well as the poppet box will automatically be opened for the release of the dossier in question. The simple advice is that the noises must cease so that we direct all efforts to sacking the failed Akufo-Addo NPP government from power.

From all intents and purposes, the changes announced by the party headquarters will never change. So people must learn to align accordingly.

A closer review of the newly elected national executive from the NDC’s last congress reveals that delegates have selected an all-round offensive squad to deliver power in 2024. And reshuffling the parliamentary front is part of taking the game to the NPP.

Ghana’s economy has gone bankrupt courtesy Akufo-Addo and his cousin Ofori-Atta’s recklessness. Suffering Ghanaians are looking upto the NDC for redemption and we cannot afford to disappoint them. Let’s close our ranks now for victory 2024.

The victory of the NDC is coming again!!!

Eye Zu! Eye Za
