Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye , Chief Justice Anim Yeboah and Second Lady Samira Bawumia were  among thousands of people who joined the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, to mourn her departed brother ,James Kojo Osei aka J .K Osei, last  Saturday  in Accra. He was 78

Other high ranking  government officials who attended the one week observation held in  the residence of the deceased  included Minister for National Security,  Kan Dapaah,Executive Secretary to the president Nana Asante Bediatuo ,Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta,Trade and Industry  Minister, Alan Kyeremanteng,Foreign Minister, Shirely Ayorko Botwe , Sanitation and water Resources Minister Cecilia  Dapaah, Deputy Chief of Statff Francis Boakye- Asenso ,Mayor of Kumasi Osei Asibey Antwi  , municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs), New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives and supporters.

Managing Dirctor of Agricultural Development Bank Dr Kofi Mensah as well as the Managing Director of Electricity Company of Ghana Kwame Agyeman Budu and Business Man Isaac Ofori Opoku were also there to sympathize with the chief of staff

The burial  and final funeral rites  will take place on Thursday 21st   to Saturday 23rdJanuary 2021 

The late Mr James Kojo Osei was a  former Senior Manager of Agriculture Development Bank (ADB).Mr Osei worked in Takoradi,Kumasi,Tema, Adabraka and at the Head Office of the Bank. He was the son of Late C E Osei a  Former Director of Bank Of Ghana and elder brother of Hon Akosua Frema Osei Opare(Chief Of Staff,Office of the President)

Mr J K Osei is survived by his wife Mrs Martha Osei, and five children: Akwesi Osei Afriyie (NPP Coordinator, Ayawaso West Wuogon)Chief Superintendent Yvonne Cindy Osei(Kotobaabi District Police Commander) Dr Akua Afriyie Gyimah-Asante(Medical Superintendent, LEKMA Hospital) Jude Osei Kwame(Lawyer and  former Diplomat) and Sika Osei(Actress, Producer and T V Personality)
