The chief of Senase in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region who doubles as the Kontihene of Berekum Traditional Area, Nana Kwabena Asoma Agyemang Sabi II has met with some irate youth of the town over that they describe as the indiscriminate sale of lands in the community
Nana Agyemang said he has no idea about the development and assured them that he will take the necessary steps.
He said it was good that the youth has drawn his attention to the matter indicating that a committee comprising the Elders of the town, three representatives from the youth group among others will be set up to look into the matter.
The Berekum Senase Chief tasked the youth to give him three people to constitute the committee to see to the closure of the matter.
He disclosed that Senane is going to be the Golden City of Berekum stressing that the concerns of the youth is also his priority.
Nana for this reason said his doors are opened to varied contributions from the youth, agreeing with the youth that the lands should be properly demarcated for specific uses.
The surveyor said there are two surveyors on the land and that qualified surveyors should be engaged by the town.
He said every land has a plan and its uses stressing that qualified surveyors must be engaged to do the right job for the people.
