The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has approved timelines for conducting a parliamentary primary election at Assin North for the impending by-election.

The approved timelines are as follows:

Opening of Nomination – Wednesday, May 31, 2023

Closing of Nomination – Thursday, June 1, 2023

Election – Wednesday, June 7, 2023

The decision was taken at the party’s Steering Committee (SC) meeting on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

A statement by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong said the party also approved Rules and Regulations to govern the conduct of the parliamentary primary election which would be made available to stakeholders.

Meanwhile, nomination forms are available at the Constituency Party Office for purchase.
