The project represents a profound commitment to serve the vulnerable and transform lives.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the CEMAbility Village on Saturday , Naa Torshie stated that she is touched by the gesture.

“I would want to take this opportunity to express my sincerest appreciation to the church for naming the industrial hub of the village after my good self.”

The Administrator of the District Assemblies  Assembly Common Fund added “I don’t take this gesture for granted! It is my fervent hope that by the grace of God, my vision to help establish a training and vocational institute at the industrial hub for the vulnerable, consistent with my aspiration to establish same across the country, within the shortest possible time will come to fruition.”

She explained that over the past decade, through the CEM foundation, there have been numerous initiatives aimed at uplifting those in need, particularly people living with disabilities.

“Today, we witness the birth of the CEMAbility Village. We are taking a giant leap forward in fulfilling our shared vision of creating a haven of hope and empowerment for the most deserving amongst us.”

As we gather here today, Naa Torshie stated “I stand before you not only as a speaker but also as someone who shares a deep-rooted passion for serving the vulnerable. For over 25 years, I have dedicated my life to enhancing the standard of living for people living with disabilities.”

“In my role as the Administrator of the District and Municipal Assembly Common Fund, I have witnessed the transformative power of community-driven initiatives like CEMAbility Village. It is my firm belief that this ground-breaking project will bring about lasting change, not only for the residents of this village but for our entire society.”

Naa Torshie indicated “It is an incredible privilege to have with us today a distinguished guest who not only shares our vision but has been a steadfast advocate for the vulnerable. I am honored to welcome the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia, whose presence here today reflects his commitment to uplifting the lives of the marginalized and most often unrecognized people. His support and endorsement of this project serve as a testament to the importance of our collective mission to build a better future for us all.”

The Common Fund Administrator urged all hands to be on deck to see the realization of the project.

“Let us forge ahead, hand in hand, as we break ground on CEMAbility Village. Together, we will create a community that embraces and celebrates the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, regardless of their abilities or circumstances. May this groundbreaking ceremony be the catalyst for a new era of compassion, empowerment, and lasting change.”

Spanning an expansive 2000 acres, CEMAbility Village will become a place of profound significance, housing 9,000 homes that will provide shelter, comfort, and a sense of belonging to 69,000 families. This visionary project is not just about the physical infrastructure but rather about creating a community that fosters unity, inclusivity, and holistic development.

One of the crown jewels of CEMAbility Village is the state-of-the-art specialist hospital, boasting a capacity of 100 beds. This medical facility is a testament to our unwavering commitment to compassionate care and healing. It will offer specialized services, ensuring that those in need, especially the vulnerable, have access to quality healthcare. Through this hospital, we aim to bring relief, restoration, and renewed hope to the lives of countless individuals and families.
