Presidential aspirant for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Agyarko, has reportedly stepped down from the race.
Mr Agyarko tied with Addai Nimo in Saturday’s NPP Special Delegates Congress for the 5th position and was set for a runoff to elect one person to complete the number for the November 4 congress.
Reports, however, indicate the former Energy Minister has decided to throw in the towel and withdraw from the race.
There will, therefore, be no run-off between the two aspirants.
Addai Nimo and Boakye Agyarko secured 0.98% each.
