The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Adukwei Mensah, has received commendation from the Internal Audit Agency for her prompt implementation of audit recommendations and her overall support for internal audit activities.
She was honoured with the award for Best Head of a Covered Entity that Supports the Internal Audit Unit (IAU) in the MDA category by the Agency.
A citation, acknowledging Jean Mensah’s contributions, stated that as EC Commissioner, she ensured that the Internal Audit Unit received sufficient resources, space, and logistics, enabling it to carry out its duties objectively and independently without intimidation.
The citation also noted that her actions have significantly improved the internal control systems of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
