Independent presidential candidate, Alan John Kyerematen, has suggested that Ghanaians consider moving away from the current ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.

During an appearance on the GhanAkoma evening political show on Akoma FM 98.9MHz in Kumasi, hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, Kyeremanten expressed his belief that the two major political parties are responsible for the country’s current issues.

Kyeremanten has promised that if elected on December 7, 2024, he will work to undo the mismanagement that has plagued the country for the last four decades.

He believes that Ghanaians are searching for a new leader, not a new political party and that he can unite all political parties and institutions with a national unity government.

Kyeremanten has called for a proper national plan to aid in the development of the country, with a focus on sustainable job creation, women’s empowerment, and other crucial issues.

“It’s obvious people here are desperately in need of jobs but here we are, with many youth or university graduates unemployed in the country. We can employ many people if we put the right things in place,” he said.

He further noted that his government will prioritize women’s empowerment.
