During an exclusive interview with TV XYZ, Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V provided a vivid description of the situation, highlighting the urgent need for assistance.

Heavy rains and swollen rivers have triggered severe flooding in various communities across the Bono East Region. This has led to impassable roads, destroyed homes, and submerged farmlands, resulting in widespread devastation.

“This natural disaster has severely impacted our people, and their lives and property have suffered immense damage. We are now reaching out to both the government and philanthropists to provide the necessary support to help us rebuild our communities and restore the well-being of our people,” the Paramount Chief of Yeji appealed.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Pru East Constituency, Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, revealed that approximately 3,000 individuals have been severely affected by the recent floods.

He also emphasized the negative impact on economic activities, which has made the situation more urgent.

He said, “The floods have disrupted the livelihoods of our people, affecting their ability to provide for their families.”

“We need the support of the general public and the government to help our affected communities recover,” Boam stressed.

The request for help has brought a ray of hope to the communities struggling to deal with the aftermath of the flood.

The response from the government and philanthropic organizations is expected to provide essential relief and support in various areas.

“I have ensured that all necessary measures have been taken to facilitate this process. all necessary measures have been taken to facilitate this process,” he added.
