In a related development, order was restored in Okaikwei North after a morning disturbance over foreign delegates attempting to vote in the parliamentary primary of the constituency.

Delegates in the Okaikwei Municipality raised the alarm and confronted the foreign delegates attempting to cast votes.

NPP delegates nationwide are participating in parliamentary primaries in orphan constituencies, with voting starting at 7 am in some polling centers and 7:45 am in others.

Heavy security is evident at most polling centers, with delegates’ phones confiscated before entry for voting.
