A total of 128 parliamentary aspirants from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have officially submitted their nomination forms to compete in 41 constituencies within the Ashanti region, where sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) are present.

Notably, five of these candidates are running unopposed in their respective constituencies. The upcoming primaries, scheduled for January 27, 2024, promise intense competition, with several prominent figures vying for seats.
