The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is making preparations for the upcoming 2024 election by selecting parliamentary candidates in constituencies where they currently have sitting Members of Parliament.

This is a positive step towards ensuring that the party is well-represented in the election.

Though some incumbent MPs seeking re-election are facing stiff competition, the NPP is committed to a fair and transparent selection process, allowing all aspirants to contest in 100 constituencies spread across 15 regions of the country.

With 326 aspirants cleared to contest in these constituencies, the party is poised to field the best candidates for the election.

Additionally, the party has already elected candidates in areas where they currently have no sitting MPs, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their representation and appeal. This is a positive development for the NPP and Ghana’s democracy as a whole.
