The Black Stars of Ghana will commence its quest to compete at the 2025 CAF AFCON in Morocco in September with a game against Angola at a yet to be determined location.
Ghana is in Group F with Angola, Sudan and Niger in the wake of the official draw with the Black Stars set to meet familiar foes. Next year’s AFCON runs from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
The Black Stars take on Angola and Niger in the period between September 2 and September 10 during the first international break of the 2024-2025 season.
Ghana and Angola qualified to compete at the 2023 AFCON from the same group with Antoine Semenyo scoring in a 1-0 win for Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Former Black Stars player and head coach and 1982 AFCON winner Kwasi Appiah serves as head of Sudan and will lead his team against Ghana in October.
