Individuals, organizations, corporate bodies, and nations should be able to emulate others rightly. Copying rightly does not make you an inferior person; rather, it helps to improve upon your other strengths.
The world is too vast to occupy it entirely. As you explore, work, socialize, and undertake initiatives to better yourself, your organization, your family, and your nation, it is good to demonstrate humility, honesty, and integrity.
Be assertive and confident in working to achieve your objectives. To attain that status, you will encounter many hiccups, obstacles, challenges, and even condemnation, either from within or outside.
However, remain focused and work towards meeting your goal, especially when your objective is godly, legal, and legitimate. Both pessimistic and optimistic voices will always be there, either to discourage or encourage you. It is crucial, as an independent person, to make the best decision for your progression. A bad decision will lead to your destruction or stagnation.
It is wise to emulate others rightly, even if you somewhat disagree with them. Pick the best from them and ignore the worst.
For example, as a nation, our leaders should emulate the positives of great nations. Just a few days ago, the United Kingdom went to the polls to elect their leaders. The campaign was civil with no huge rallies, no transferred votes, and no bussing of voters.
Candidates met voters personally without any fanfare. Posters were not scattered on walls in a nauseating manner, and there were no expensive billboards. Despite their wealth, they did not display opulence and were very economical.
The election was free, fair, and transparent. Not a single soul was lost or maimed, and there were no party agents at the polling stations. Police officers were not seen around with guns; in essence, the elections were peaceful.
The winner was declared within a few hours after voting ended, and the loser accepted the outcome and congratulated the winner.
Consider this: the voting population was over 40 million, yet everything concluded successfully within a few hours. Within 24 hours, a new cabinet of ministers had been appointed and they started serving their nation. Amazing!
It is wise to emulate such remarkable wisdom. It is doable. It is possible. If we all put our acts together, be honest, and allow integrity to take center stage in our political, social, and religious lives, we can easily achieve this.
