“A CURE FOR CORRUPTION”

“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6)
From our text, we learn that if we allow the Spirit to govern our minds, we will enjoy life and peace. Every act of corruption emanates from the depravity of the mind. Feeding on the word of God along with singing prayerfully and meditating deeply on hymns such as MHB 626 over and again can cure the mind from degeneracy – God being our helper.
I WANT a principle within
Of jealous, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin,
A pain to feel it’s near.
O may the least omission pain
My well Instructed soul,
And drive me to the blood again
Which makes the wounded whole
PRAYER
Dear Lord please cure the corruption of our souls by giving us a sensibility of sin and pain to feel when it’s near in Jesus’ name. Amen!
