A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING TO GOD!

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10)
Above all else, it is the desire of every good Christian to please the Lord. However, that does not come easily because there are so many things that are at war with us in that regard. We find suitable words in MHB 602 to take to the Lord in prayer to give us a present mind intent on pleasing him:
FATHER, I know that all my life
Is portioned out for me,
And the changes that are sure to come
I do not fear to see;
But I ask Thee for a present mind,
Intent on pleasing Thee.
There are so many who claim to be Christians but who do not have any semblance to Christ at all. Make it your aim to please the Lord so that he will not regard you as a hypocrite.
PRAYER
Dear Lord, please give us minds intent on pleasing you so that we will be guided where we ought to go in our daily walk with you in Jesus name. Amen!
