President John Dramani Mahama will attend a special meeting of the African Union’s Heads of State and Governments in Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday.

The retreat is being hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto in his capacity as the Chair of the African Union (AU) Reforms.

Participants will discuss AU’s Reforms ahead of the upcoming summit in Addis Ababa.

The Kenya meeting is expected to push for the election of its former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the next African Union Commission Chairperson.
