President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will this morning, Monday, December 30, chair a National Honours and Awards ceremony, one of his final acts as he bows out of office, to celebrate the exceptional contributions and selfless service of individuals to the nation.
A letter of notification signed by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare asked nominees to be seated by 11am at the Accra International Conference Centre, the venue for the investiture.
The dress code for the occasion is formal or traditional attire, with suggestions including Kente, Fugu, or suits, reflecting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and the formal nature of the event.
Nominees have been granted the privilege of bringing up to two family members to witness the momentous occasion.
Personal invitation cards signed by Nana Addo have also been extended to the nominees.
The National Honours and Awards Ceremony serves as a platform to acknowledge individuals whose remarkable achievements and dedication have significantly impacted Ghana’s progress, and underscores the importance of national service and excellence.
