Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Kobina Tahir Hammond has promised fireworks in the Chamber when the House sits for business today
According to him, there is no other project in town today as important except the showdown that is going to happen on the floor of Parliament.
“In 45 minutes time you will see with your naked eyes,” he said.
Speaking in an interview in Parliament on Tuesday 30th November 2021, the Adansi Asokwa legislator stressed the Majority group has enough members to pass the 2022 Budget.
Readers will recall the Majority group staged a walkout after conclusion of debate on the budget last Friday but the House, made up of only the Minority members, went ahead to vote and reject it.
He vowed the NPP majority has 138 members to overturn the earlier ruling, indicating every arsenal at their disposal will be deployed to achieve that aim.
He argued events of last Friday on the floor of the House were unconstitutional and therefore void.
“I repeat this, what happened on Friday was an unconstitutional act by the Minority side. We will do it properly and legally today, mark my words,” he added
