2022 WCQ: Zimbabwe team manager tips South Africa or Zimbabwe to qualify from Ghana’s Group

Zimbabwe national team manager Mr. Wellington Mpadare has tipped either Zimbabwe or South Africa to qualify for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Group B

Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia are in the same group.

South Africa is topping the group with 4 points followed by Ghana and Ethiopia both having 3 points and Zimbabwe at the bottom of the table with no point.

Zimbabwe will be playing against the Black Stars of Ghana on October 9, 2022, at the Cape Coast Sports stadium in the next qualifiers whilst Ethiopia will be playing South Africa.

According to the national team manager of the Warriors of Zimbabwe, either Bafana Bafana of South Africa and his native country Zimbabwe are likely to qualify from the group to make a spot in the playoffs for the qualifications for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

In an interview with Sir Martin on GL Radio, Mr. Mpadare said “Obviously Zimbabwe. I can’t tip any team instead of mine but my second country to likely qualify is South Africa but we show much respect to Ghana and Ethiopia, I wish them to qualify but I will be happy if Zimbabwe qualifies.

He added, “The confusion in Ghana concerning coaching can affect them. Ghana can qualify for the World Cup but it is slim because of how they are firing coaches.

“The trend is to win your home games and fight for a point away.” He concluded.
