Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has declared former President John Mahama as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chosen one.
The former Minority Leader made a strong case for Mahama to be overwhelmingly endorsed to lead the NDC in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking to the delegates in his constituency during the nationwide NDC parliamentary and presidential primaries, Haruna Iddrisu argued Mahama is the only candidate who can lead the party to victory.

He said, “Probably without prejudice to the voting rights of delegates, it may appear unanimous in the constituency in the choice of the flagbearer. ”
‘You know the chosen one. It is his time. It is his time to end Nana Akufo-Addo’s governance and end the sufferings of Ghanaians.”
Mahama is slugging it out with a former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu after one of the aspirants Dr Kwabena Duffuor pulled out at the last minute.
