Abronye’s Arrest: NPP Bigwigs Called IGP But he Didn’t Pick Up-Hopeson Adorye

A member of NPP Communications team, Hopeson Yaovi Adorye has indicated that most NPP bigwigs made phone calls to IGP to intervene in the arrest of Abronye but he didn’t pick up the calls.

He said the National Youth Organizer of the Party Henry Nana Boakye and he (Adorye ) made the phone calls to the IGP but to no avail after realizing the Bono Regional Chairman was going to be detained.

Mr. Adorye disclosed this on Oman FM’s Boiling Point on Tuesday.

“ This is the first time the Police is inviting someone with a letter that says “report yourself or be arrested”. Abronye reported to the Accra regional police at around 1pm and he was detained after writing his statement

“ I called IGP he didn’t pick up, Nana B also called but he didn’t pick up his calls”, Mr. Adorye fumed.

Mr. Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC had alleged that former President Mahama was planning with Al-Qaeda group to overthrow the government through a coup.

But Abronye, According to the Police was detained after failing to prove his allegations during the interrogations.

He has been charged for false publication and offensive conduct conducive to breaching the peace of the country.
