Member of Parliament for Agona East constituency in the Central Region, the Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr has celebrated her 59th birthday with some notable activities.
Former President John Dramani, the regional and constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and some of her colleagues in Parliament joined the MP to celebrate her special day and also her achievements.
Mrs. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr expressed determination to develop her constituency and indicated the welfare of her constituents is her priority.
She narrated the activities that marked her celebration in a post. She wrote:
My Birthday started with praise and worship to GOD whom I am so Thankful to.
First was at Agona Nsaba Omanhene’s palace where Nananom of the Nsaba Traditional Council sat in State to receive our incoming President JDM, myself, my executives and the high-powered entourage which included the Central Regional Chairman and some of his executives, as well as the history-making Assin North MP.
From the palace, the team proceeded to Presby Park which was filled with branch executives, party members and other stakeholders where JM assisted me to launch a novel welfare package for party executives & party members in my Constituency.
This package is christened “3NAPA Y3” which simply is a donation of a Bus and vehicles fully paid for by myself for my Constituency and Branch executives. This will generate revenue for the running of the constituency!
Next was the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a community centre for the people of Agona Ninta and incidentally, yesterday was the first and only time a former President or a Flagbearer had visited that place, the euphoria and their resolve to increase the presidential and Parliamentary votes come 7th December 2024 was High✅
Led by my Regional Chairman Prof Asiedu who is also an indigene of my Constituency, we proceeded to Agona Nantifa where we inspected the progress of work on the ongoing construction of an Astro, with the contractors briefing JM and MYSELF on the project which is 40% done…!
Then finally to Agona Kwanyako where the birthday cake was cut, to thank GOD for everything.
