President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to act as caretaker Minister for Trade and Industry.
This followed the resignation of Mr. Alan Kyeremanten from office.
Mr Kyerematen, on Thursday, 5th January, informed the President personally of his decision to resign, and subsequently submitted his letter of resignation.
A statement from the Presidency on Friday, 6th January 2023, said President Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation from office of Mr. Kyerematen as Minister for Trade and Industry.
President Akufo-Addo thanked him for his services to his government and to the country, and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Mr. Ofori-Atta is expected to act at the Ministry until a substantive appointment is made.
