President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has granted an additional two-year extension to the appointment of the Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu.
This was conveyed in a notice from the Audit Service dated July 19, circulated to all staff members.
According to the notice, Mr Asiedu was originally set to retire on August 1, 2024, but will continue in his role for the next two years.
The Audit Service expressed their congratulations to the Auditor General on the extension of his appointment.
“I wish to inform all staff that His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana has extended the tenure of the office of the Auditor General, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, for the next two years,” the notice read.
“The Service extends its congratulations to our Auditor General on the extension of his appointment. Thank you,” they added.
