Alan says bye-bye to Trade ministry Staff and CEOs

Alan Kyerematen has wrapped up his work at the trade ministry barely a week after resigning, having met with CEOs and their board chairpersons on Tuesday (10 January) in Accra.

Kyerematen used the occasion to thank the top officials from agencies under the Ministry of Trade and Industry for their hard and fruitful work during his tenure as minister.

He charged them to continue their good work and support other officials of the ministry to realise the vision of President Akufo-Addo.

The appointees and board chairpersons took turns in thanking Kyerematen and wished him well in his next endeavour.

President Akufo-Addo last Friday accepted the resignation from office of the Trade Minister, Alan Kyerematen.

Kyerematen resigned on Thursday (5 January) after meeting with Akufo-Addo to inform him personally of his decision to leave office.

President Akufo-Addo thanked Kyerematen for his service to the government and to the country and wished him well in his future endeavours, a statement issued by the Office of the President said.

“The president has asked the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, to act as caretaker minister at the Ministry of Trade and Industry until a substantive appointment is made.
