Annoh-Dompreh sworn in as Board Chairman of Road Fund, pledges renewed maintenance culture

The Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has emphasized a commitment to a new maintenance culture and assures efficient budgetary allocations.

New Chairman of the Road Fund, Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh expressed his commitment to his new role and a new maintenance culture.

He assured that as Chairman, members of the Road Fund board will not take their work lightly, stressing that it will not be business as usual.

After being sworn in as the Board Chairman of the Road Fund on Thursday, July 18 at the Ministry of Roads and Highways, the Majority Whip shared his reflections on the appointment and outlined his vision for the fund.

He said, “I was focused on ensuring that government business is prosecuted effectively in Parliament. Little did I know that this appointment was in the offing.”

“I gladly accept this elevation and am humbled by the appointment.”

He praised the Minister’s and his team’s efforts, describing their work as ‘admirable.’

Annoh-Dompreh stressed the importance of collaboration with the Minister of Finance, indicating that their relationship would be key in securing the necessary funds to support their initiatives.

“We must get the oxygen to prosecute the work,” he stated, committing to the Minister that the board would provide all necessary cooperation.

Annoh-Dompreh extended his gratitude to the President for the opportunity and acknowledged his Deputy in Parliament for his unflinching support.
